Carrières Berthe’s main office in Florenne

The Berthe quarry has been operating at the Florennes site since 1963.
The quarry opens to the right side of the outcrop area of the Neffe formation, commonly called V2a.

This formation offers the purest limestone in the Dinantien region.

Because of their chemical purity, the majority of the products manufactured at the site are used in particular industrial processes, either for their chemism in the form of calcium carbonate or kilned stone (lime), or for their whiteness.
The annual production of the site is 500 000 tons.

All shipping directly out of the Florennes quarry is done by truck.
Carrières Berthe has a loading dock for barges in
Couillet (Sambre river); maximum barge capacity is 1200 tons.
